To Our Residents and Family Members:
We want to inform you that at Ennoble Nursing and Rehabilitation we currently have
no confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst both or residents and our staff members.
The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our top priority. We will continue doing what
we can to keep COVID-19 out of Ennoble Nursing and Rehabilitation,
including staying in very close communication with local and state health officials.
We are taking steps based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to
reduce any potential spread and impact of COVID-19, such as:

· Enhanced infection control precautions
· Screening residents, staff, and essential visitors for expanded list of symptoms
· Restricting visitation and entry of people to the building
· Testing staff and residents for COVID-19 based on current protocols and availability of tests
· Postponing communal activities
We know you are concerned about your loved one, but it is crucial that we restrict
visitation to stop this disease from entering our facility. We will contact you directly if
your loved one is suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19.
We also understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important to
our residents. Family members are encouraged to connect with their loved ones
through video chat, calling, texting, or on social media through platforms such as
Skype, Zoom and FaceTime.
We need your help in battling COVID-19. Please visit the CDC website
(www.cdc.gov/coronavirus) to learn how you can help prevent the spread in our
community, since continued spread in the larger community increases the chance the
virus will work its way into our building.
This is a difficult time for everyone. We will continue to provide you with updates.
Please know that we are adhering to guidelines from the local and state health
departments, which continue to evolve as we learn more about this virus.

We know that you may have questions and we encourage you to contact our center.

Dear Responsible Party:
We understand that the past few months have been challenging due to the emergence of the COVID-19 virus and the additional safety precautions that have been put in place because of the virus, such as the limitation of in-person visits to our facility. We also understand that, although these precautions were necessary to protect the safety of your loved one, not being able to visit in person has been especially challenging. We appreciate your patience and the sacrifice you have made to help protect your loved one during the COVID-19 crisis by not visiting in person.
I am pleased to report that the state of Iowa is implementing a phased approach to safely reopening long-term care facilities to visitation. The purpose of this phased approach is to provide as safe a pathway as possible to resident and family visits. There will be three phases for transitioning to reopening for visitation based on a facility’s current COVID-19 status.
At Ennoble Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are currently at Phase 1 in the state’s reopening plan. This means that:
-
The following types of visits are allowed effective immediately:
-
Visits to patients who are at the end of life.
-
All visitors must wear a cloth face covering or face mask during their visit.
-
Visitors will be required to stay in the patient room only.
-
Visitors must comply with screening at the beginning and end of each visit, perform hand hygiene and comply with social distancing recommendations
-
-
Window visits – using social distancing recommendations.
-
Virtual visits using Skype, Zoom and Facetime.
-
-
The following types of visits still are NOT allowed to protect the safety of residents:
-
All in person visits other than for patients who are at the end of life.
-
We will continue to keep you informed as we work through this phased reopening, and we will let you know each time we reach a new phase in the process and the visitation options available at each phase.
Please contact Cassandra Johnson, Administrator via phone at 563-557-1076 or email at administrator@ennoblenursing.com with any questions about arranging visits during this new transition.
Sincerely,
Cassandra Johnson
